Design Objective
The purpose of this design was to create an interface for a kiosk that would act as an eCommerce solution for a company that does custom photo edits using a greenscreen. The kiosk would allow the user to select the image that they would like to use as their background, enter delivery and payment information, and print their receipt. Their target audience are users that attend special events such as college football games or community festivals.
The Process
After receiving the design objective, I began to sketch out how I imagined the software to look while thinking about the functionality and flow of the system. During this phase, I also thought about what works well within already existing systems. Some systems that came to mind were Redbox, CVS Photo, and other eCommerce websites such as H&M.
Once I sketched out some ideas, I began to create a prototype in Adobe XD. As I began to build the prototype, I continued to think about the use-case for the software, making sure to include needed features while paying attention to visual hierarchies.
